Chelsom strengthens sales team with two new appointments

Following a period of international growth, Chelsom bolster their sales team with the appointment of two new members as the company consolidates its position as a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of decorative lighting to the international hospitality, marine and residential markets.

Millie McGovern joins the Chelsom team as Sales Consultant and will be responsible for London and the Southeast of England. With a professional background in the lighting industry spanning more than eleven years, Millie has a wealth of experience in this complex market with ten years’ experience in the decorative lighting industry specifically. Her career to date has provided her with a thorough understanding of both the decorative and technical lighting markets thanks to her previous roles at ERCO and Astro. During her time in these positions, Millie has developed a large number of key relationships within the hospitality industry and has completed projects across a wide client base including Hilton DoubleTree Leeds, The Runnymede on Thames Hotel and Hilton Gatwick to name a few.

This exciting new appointment is further supplemented by the addition of Rhona Reed as Business Development Manager, a new position created to give increased support to the sales team whilst contributing to company growth in the UK. With over six years of B2B sales experience, Rhona’s expertise is particularly strong in the FF&E sector, where she played a key role in establishing the trade division at the luxury e-commerce store, LuxDeco, collaborating with interior designers, procurement companies, and hospitality clients. Prior to this, Rhona worked at the home improvement platform, Houzz, supporting professionals including residential interior designers, architects, and developers.

Sales Director, Julia Brogan says: “We have been very diligent in our search for the right people and have no doubt that the new recruits will bring plenty of expertise to Chelsom and in doing so will be a huge asset to the growing sales team. We recognise the necessity to service and support our clients better than ever, ensuring that we have the global infrastructure in place to allow us to do so. We are delighted to announce the changes to the team at a critical time for the company, ready to tackle the opportunities ahead with some of our biggest and most challenging projects to date in the pipeline and the global launch of our new collections in 2025.”
